Before I start the breakdown of this deal, can I say how irritated, annoyed, pissed, etc regarding how “extreme/reckless couponers” have become. You can watch this short video to see exactly what I’m talking about. {if this message doesn’t apply to you, then let it fly. This message is not meant to draw a debate, but to express my frustration (and I’m sure many others). We wonder why we get really crappy coupons, double coupons are gone, and the good coupons are being a RARE things.. it’s because of stuff like this. And as long as this continues to happen, regular coupons will eventually be a thing of the past, and you will more digital coupons. Why do you think Meijer is attaching mperk accounts to email addresses now? This is going to continue to happen if stuff like THIS continues to happen}.
The bandaid deal has been flying around and many of you have asked about HOW and WHAT is the deal? It took me going to about 5 stores here in the Lansing area, to ONE find the deal and TWO find the complete parts of this deal to actually test a few things out.
So here’s the skinny:
This week at Meijer when you buy $10 of Johnson & Johnson First Aid Products, you get $3 off instantly! (this excludes trial and travel size). valid till 2/21.
PLUS when you buy a First Aid Empty Bag Kit you can score it for FREE when you purchase 3 participating BandAid/Neosporin/participating products. The coupon for this FREEBIE is on the bag. (That’s if someone reckless person didn’t come thru and tear the peelie off the bag and leave the bag. YES! see picture below)

Inside the First Aid Kit bag is a coupon booklet that’s worth $15 value of great coupons to use, like this one:

- Use the $5 off 3 coupon found inside the bag OR there are other band-aid related coupons in the bag or $1.50 off any two BAND-AID First Aid products printable coupon
- Also use the FREE First Aid Coupon found on the bag (as shown above)
Pay NOTHING out of pocket and get $1.55 BACK! (I did it the first time w/ a cashier and she handed me back $1.55. I was surprised because I wasn’t expecting money back. The second time I did it at the Uscan and it spit out $1.55)
******I want to be clear on what I did here. I did the moneymaker deal TWICE. I used the $5 off 3 coupons that were from the First Aid bags from my FIRST transaction (which is listed in Deal Scenario # 2. In deal scenario #2, I had (2) $1.50/2 coupons on me, so I used those and not the ones in the bag until I purchased the bag). So if you have an issue with pulling the coupon out of the bag to use it at the same time, then do what I did. Use the $1.50 off any two BAND-AID First Aid products printable coupon first. Then go back and do another one order to use the $5 off 3 coupon found in the bag.

The only issue w/ this deal is FINDING the First Aid Kit bags that STILL have the coupon on it and the coupons inside. If you’re going to take the peelie, at least BUY the bag! Man! As you can see below, people left the bags and took out the $15 coupon booklet. This is shame. And this is why couponers continue to get a bad rap, and it’s harder and harder to get good deals. So do me a favor and STOP doing it (if that’s you!). And if it’s not.. share this post with all those excessive, shelf-clearing, bad couponers! 🙂

Pay $4.36 OOP ( (comes to $1.09 each)

Pay $4.44 OOP (comes to .74 cents each)
I was able to find about 6 bags that were still in tact (lansing locations- W. Saginaw was already cleared out. I found 4 in tact at Lake Lansing Rd. None at Bath. 1 in tact at Dewitt (there were more, but the peelies were gone. coupons were gone. bags were still there. smh). and 1 at Okemos. (again there were more bags, but the peelies were gone and the coupons inside were gone).
My retail value was $71.75 before coupons, sales and promotion.
OOP after coupons, (2) were Moneymakers and promotions I paid $5.21. Use deal scenario # 1 for the moneymaker deal!!

Hello, just wanted to fill you in some potential drama if you plan to use this deal. I went last night to my local store and did 3 transactions of transaction #1 above. I had no problem, nice cashier, coupons worked it was great and very fast. When I got of work in the morning I decided to swing by and do the same exact thing 3 transactions of transaction #1. It was a horrific drama filled mess! They only had one checkout open so I decided to use you scan. I scanned all my products and then my coupons. After I scanned my $4.99 free bag coupon I scanned my $5/3 coupon and it said assistance needed. The cashier came over and said she would need supervisor approval. The supervision came over he said no problem approved it. I told him I had 2 more transactions and he said go ahead and do them. So I did the second transaction and the cashier at this point was being kinda weird. She adjusted the coupon and said they can’t give back any money. I told her that was fine but she could just zero it out which she did. I did my 3rd transaction and at this point I realize she is talking to another cashier at the checkout looking at me and pointing. Same thing happened again when I scanned coupons. She then walked back over with now the store manager. I explained to him what I was doing and he was trying to understand but the cashier was just telling him I shouldn’t be able to do it. Finally I said I just want to know if I’m doing something wrong! I don’t want to steal from or scam anyone. I looked at the coupon of the free bag with the purchase of 3 items and to me that has no discount applying to the band aids rather the bag. The $5/3 coupon is off the band aids I’m purchasing. (I even tried another scenario of telling him if you get a coupon that says free milk with the purchase of cereal you can still use a coupon on the cereal.) He did approve and then apologized for cashier and said he was disappointed in her agreesive manner and he would talk to her. But then also said he would have to investigate the deal.
I mean really I KNOW I did nothing wrong or deceitful but man they made me feel like I just wanted to leave my purchases and run out of that store.
Oh my. Yes you did nothing wrong. Actually the $5 off 3 coupon will BEEP even if you are NOT getting the free bag, so that has nothing to do with it. That coupon is just beeping regardless of how you run it (at least that was my experience).
