This is the week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers with the 10 for 10 sale this week. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE 

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $36 bucks, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )

There are some amazing sales at Meijer this week, and they are put to good use in these six meals that will fill your family!

Meal 1: Sunday Chicken Dinner (for any day of the week)  $6.52

  • 4 lb chicken, whole, rinsed
  • Salt and pepper (pantry)
  • 2 ½ lb bag Russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 2 broccoli crowns
  • 1 C flour (pantry)

Directions:  Place the rinsed chicken in a roasting pan.  Salt and pepper the chicken inside and out, cover with foil, and bake in a 425°F oven for 1 ½ hours or until the juices run clear when cut near the thigh bone.  Remove the foil and allow to brown for 10 minutes.  Remove from oven and allow to rest for 15 minutes.  While the chicken is baking, place the potatoes in a large saucepan and cover with water.  Salt if desired.  Bring to a boil and cook until tender, about 20 minutes.  Mash with butter and milk to desired consistency.  Steam the broccoli in a pan or in the microwave.  Mix the flour with cold water, stirring until no lumps remain.  Remove the chicken from the pan; pour the drippings into a saucepan.  Heat over medium heat, whisking in the flour slurry.  Continue to heat and stir until thick, 10-15 minutes.  Serve over the potatoes and chicken if desired.  Save leftover chicken for tomorrow night.

Meal 2:  Chicken Pot Pie  $3.18

  • 3 C leftover chicken
  • 2 C leftover gravy or 2 pkts Meijer brown gravy
  • 1 bag Meijer frozen mixed vegetables
  • 1 box Jiffy Buttermilk biscuit mix

Directions:  In a large casserole pan or Dutch oven, mix the chicken, gravy and vegetables (make the gravy before hand if using the packets).  Bake in a 375°F oven for 1 hour until bubbly.  Prepare the biscuits as directed on the package and drop by tablespoonfuls into the chicken mixture.  Bake for another 20-30 minutes, until the biscuits are browned on top.  Serve the gravy mixture over the biscuits.

Meal 3:  Barbecue Ribs and Onion Rings  $9.45

  • 3 lb spare ribs
  • 1 btl Sweet Baby Ray’s barbecue sauce
  • 1 bag Meijer frozen onion rings

Directions:  Place the ribs in a slow cooker and top with the barbecue sauce.  Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Prepare the onion rings as directed on the package.

Meal 4:  Manwich Casserole  $4.93

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 can Manwich sauce
  • 1 box Jiffy corn muffin mix
  • 1 C Meijer shredded cheddar

Directions:  Brown the ground beef and drain.  Add the Manwich sauce and simmer 5 minutes.  Prepare the muffin mix as directed on the package.  Add the cheddar, and pour into a greased 8×8 pan.  Top with the meat mixture and bake in a 400°F oven for 15-20 minutes, until cornbread is cooked in the middle.

Meal 5:  Salmon on Salads  $8.66

  • 1 lb frozen Meijer pink salmon, thawed and patted dry
  • 1 bag Dole salad blend
  • 1 red pepper, chopped
  • 1 bottle Meijer salad dressing, any variety

Directions:  Place the salmon on a rimmed baking sheet.  Sprinkle with salt and pepper.  Bake in a 425°F oven for 10-12 minutes, until salmon flakes easily with a fork.  Remove and allow to cool.  Place the salad blend and pepper in bowls.  Top with a salmon filet and serve with salad dressing.

Meal 6: Baked Teriyaki Chicken with Rice and Vegetables  $2.84

  • 1 lb chicken breasts
  • 2 C rice 2 C rice (pantry)
  • 4 C water (pantry)
  • 1 bag Meijer frozen vegetables, any variety

Directions:  Place the chicken in a baking dish, sprinkle with salt and pepper, cover with foil, and bake in a 425°F oven for 45 minutes to 1 hour, until no pink remains in the center.  Place the rice and water in a saucepan.  Cover and bring to a simmer for 20 minutes or until the water is absorbed.  Prepare the vegetables as directed on the package.

This week, six meals will only cost you $35.58!
