This is the  week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )

It’s grilling season at Meijer and this week the sales are all about the grill.  Check out these six meals that will keep you grilling with flavor!

Meal 1: Grilled Brats with Roasted Potatoes and Onions  $6.04

  • 1 pkg Johnsonville Brats
  • 1 pkg Meijer buns
  • 2.5 lbs red potatoes, scrubbed and diced ½ inch
  • 1 vidalia onion, peeled and sliced
  • 2 T olive oil (pantry)

Directions: Make a foil packet by placing a large piece of aluminum foil on your work surface, place the potatoes and onions in the center, drizzle with the olive oil, and fold the ends together to deal the packet.  Place the packet on the grill over medium heat, turning occasionally.  After about 10 minutes, add the brats to the grill and cook until no pink remains in the center, about another 10 minutes.  Serve hot.

Meal 2: Onion Burgers with Tomato Salad and Corn  $7.25

  • 1 ½ lbs ground beef
  • 1 pkt Lipton Onion Soup
  • 1 pkg Meijer hamburger buns
  • 1 lb greenhouse tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 T olive oil (pantry)
  • 2 T cider vinegar (pantry)
  • Salt and pepper (pantry)
  • 8 ears corn
  • Butter (pantry)

Directions:  In a bowl, mix the ground beef and onion soup; form into patties.  Grill the burgers to desired doneness.  Place the tomatoes in a bowl and mix with oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.  Place the corn in a pot boiling water for 3 minutes, remove and butter.

Meal 3: Pulled Pork Ribs with Fries  $7.55

  • 3 lbs country ribs
  • 1 bottle Sweet Baby Ray’s Barbecue sauce
  • 1 pkg Ore Ida fries

Directions:  Place the ribs in a slow cooker and cover with barbecue sauce.  Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Prepare the fries as directed on the package.  Serve the pulled pork over the fries.

Meal 4:  Grilled Orange Glazed Chicken Thighs with Rice and Asparagus  $3.80

  • ½ t ground mustard (pantry)
  • ½ C orange juice (pantry)
  • ¼ c orange marmalade (pantry)
  • 2 T soy sauce (pantry)
  • 1 ½ lb chicken thighs
  • 1 lb asparagus, cleaned and ends trimmed

Directions:  In a bowl, mix mustard, juice, marmalade, and soy sauce.  Grill the chicken and baste with the sauce mixture until the chicken is cooked throughout and no pink remains near the bone.  Steam the asparagus in a pan until crisp-tender.  Serve with lemon if desired.

Meal 5:  Chili Dogs with Chips  $5.40

  • 1 pkg Ball Park Meat Franks
  • 1 can Hormel no beans chili
  • 1 pkg Meijer buns
  • 1 bag Lays chips

Directions:  Grill the hot dogs until heated and browned.  In a saucepan, heat the chili until simmering.  Place the dogs in buns and top with chili.  Serve with chips.

Meal 6:  Cornmeal Crusted Tilapia with Salad  $5.87

  • 1 pkg Meijer frozen tilapia, thawed and patted dry
  • ½ t salt (pantry)
  • ¼ t pepper (pantry)
  • 1 egg (pantry)
  • ⅓ C cornmeal (pantry)
  • 1 T flour (pantry)
  • 2 T olive oil (pantry)
  • 1 pkg Earthbound Farms lettuce
  • ½ lb greenhouse tomatoes, chopped
  • Salad dressing (pantry)

Directions:  Sprinkle the tilapia with salt and pepper.  In a shallow bowl, whisk the egg.  In another shallow bowl, mix the cornmeal and flour.  Dip the fish first in the egg, then in the flour mixture, tapping any excess flour off.   Heat a saute pan over medium high heat and add the oil.  Fry the fish 3 minutes on each side, until the fish flakes easily with a fork.  In a bowl, mix the greens and tomatoes.  Top with dressing.

This week, six fabulous meals will only cost $35.91, so get that grill going and have some fun this week!
