My Weekly Grocery Savings for March & April
It’s been a LOOONG time since I’ve updated my weekly grocery trips.
Let’s just say life was busy. Most of this year I’ve been running to Jackson (about 30 minutes from me) 2-4 times per week helping take care of my Mom. And now that she has passed (back in March), I am trying to get back on track with my savings and my meal planning (that also took a dump!).
But I’m back and ready to get back on track.
I took sometime this afternoon to tally up all of my receipts from the last few months
April 2014- I spent $280.14 /retail value was $550.98- so a total savings of 58%
March 2014- I spent $304.31/retail value was $585.08- so a total savings of 48%
February 2014- I spent $268.95/retail value was $574.51- so a total savings of 54% (you can see all of Feb’s breakdowns here)
