Meijer Meal Planning Week 9/28: 7 Meals Under $55

This is the  week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE (including the Non- GF Meals 7 meals under $60 for this week!)

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $55, along with a few things from your pantry!  We aren’t talking everything from a box either!  These are pretty healthy meals, at a low Meijer price that will be pretty quick and easy to make any night of the week. You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates 9/28-10/4 )

There are some seriously amazing deals this week at Meijer, from split chicken breasts for $1.38/pound to some great b1g1 free items! Here’s a list of seven meals you can make for under $60 this week!

Meal 1 – Baked Tortellini and Sausage $8.68

  • 1 pkg Johnsonville Italian sausage, partially frozen
  • 1 pkg Meijer frozen tortellini
  • 1 jar Prego alfredo pasta sauce
  • milk (pantry)

Directions: Cut the partially frozen sausage into slices. Saute in a pan until cooked through. Heat oven to 400°F. Spray a casserole dish with non-stick cooking spray. Mix the tortellini, cooked sausage, and pasta sauce. Fill the sauce jar with milk and mix in as well. Cover and bake 1 hour, until tortellini is tender and the dish is bubbling. Serve hot.

Meal 2 – Sweet and Sour Chicken $7.43

  • 2 lb split chicken breasts, bones and skin removed, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 1 bag Bird’s Eye Recipe Ready broccoli stir fry
  • 1 jar Sweet and Sour sauce
  • 1 small jar pineapple chunks, drained
  • 1 C rice (pantry)

Directions: Place the rice in a saucepan with 2 cups of water. Cover and bring to a simmer. Simmer 20 minutes, until tender and water is absorbed. While the rice is cooking, heat a saute pan over medium high heat. Add the oil and chicken and cook until no pink remains. Add the vegetables and saute until crisp-tender and heated through. Remove from heat. Add the sauce and pineapple and stir. Allow the heat in the pan to bring the pineapple up to temperature. Serve hot with rice.

Meal 3 – Brats n’ Squash with Baked Potatoes $6.87

  • 1 pkg Johnsonville Brats
  • 2 acorn squash, seeds removed and sliced
  • 4 Russet potatoes
  • butter

Directions: In a slow cooker, place the brats in the bottom and top with the slices of acorn squash. Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours. About an hour or so before dinner, scrub and poke the potatoes with a fork. Bake in a 400°F oven for an hour, until the potatoes are tender in the middle. Serve hot.

Meal 4 – Barbecued Ribs, Fries, and Vegetables $8.96

  • 3 lb Bone-in country style ribs
  • 1 jar barbecue sauce (pantry)
  • 1 bag Meijer fries
  • 1 box Green Giant vegetables, any variety

Directions: Place the ribs in a slow cooker and pour the barbecue sauce over them. Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.

Cook the fries and vegetables according to package directions. Serve hot.

Meal 5 – Mushroom Chicken and Rice with Broccoli $5.51

  • 2 lb split chicken breasts, bones and skin removed
  • 1 can Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom soup
  • 1 C rice (pantry)
  • 1 bunch fresh broccoli

Directions: Heat oven to 400°F. Place the chicken in a baking dish and cover with the soup. Cover and bake 1 hour or until chicken is cooked throughout. About half an hour before the chicken is to be done, place the rice in a saucepan along with 2 cups of water. Cover and simmer for 20 minutes, until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender. Steam the broccoli either on the stove or in the microwave. Serve all together, hot.

Meal 6 – Hotdogs and Chips $6.65

  • 1 pkg Hebrew National Hotdogs
  • 1 pkg Aunt Millie’s Hotdog buns
  • 1 pkg Lay’s potato chips

Directions: Cook hotdogs as desired. Serve with condiments and chips.

Meal 7 – Easy Pizza Night $9.98

  • 2 Markets of Meijer pizzas

Directions: Bake according to package directions.

There you have seven meals at Meijer for only $54.08 for a family of four!
