Meijer Meal Planning Week 7/9 – 6 Meals $37 Bucks

This is the  week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE 

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )

 

Meal 1:  Easy Bagel Pizzas  $6.44

  • 1 pkg Meijer bagels, plain, onion, or everything flavor
  • 1 jar Meijer pizza sauce
  • 1 pkg Sargento shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ pkg Meijer turkey pepperoni

Directions:  Halve the bagels and place cut side up on a baking sheet.  Top with pizza sauce, cheese, and pepperoni.  Bake in a 375°F oven for 10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

Meal 2:  Simple Meat Pies with Corn  $5.37

  • 1 pkg Pillsbury crescent dough sheet
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 medium onion, diced (pantry)
  • ¾ C beef stock (pantry)
  • 1 T brown sugar (pantry)
  • 1 T ketchup (pantry)
  • 1 T Montreal steak seasoning (pantry)
  • 2 T Worcestershire sauce (pantry)
  • 4 ears corn, shucked
  • Butter (pantry)

Directions:  Roll out the dough per the instructions on the package.  Cut into 8 squares and bake per directions.  In a saute pan, brown the beef until caramelized.  Add in the onion and cook until clear.  In a bowl, mix the stock, sugar, ketchup, seasoning, and sauce.  Pour over the meat and simmer until reduced and thick.  Serve over the baked crescent squares.  While the beef is cooking, bring a stock pot of water to a boil.  Place the corn in the water, time for 3 minutes, and remove.  Serve with butter.

Meal 3:  Brats with Mac & Cheese and 3 Bean Salad  $7.74

  • 1 pkg Johnsonville Brats
  • 2 boxes Meijer shells and cheese, with ingredients per package
  • 1 can Meijer green beans, drained
  • 1 can Meijer garbanzo beans, drained
  • 1 can Meijer kidney beans, drained
  • 1 small onion, diced (pantry)
  • ¼ C olive oil (pantry)
  • ¼ C red wine vinegar (pantry)
  • Salt and pepper

Directions:  Grill or broil the brats until no pink remains in the center.  Prepare the mac & cheese as directed on the package.  In a bowl, mix remaining ingredients, seasoning with salt and pepper to taste.

Meal 4:  Honeyed Chicken Thighs with Rice and Tomatoes  $3.13

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs
  • ¼ C honey (pantry)
  • 2 T soy sauce (pantry)
  • ⅛ t red pepper flakes (pantry)
  • 1 ½ T olive oil (pantry)
  • 2 C rice (pantry)
  • 4 C water (pantry)
  • 1 28 oz can Meijer stewed tomatoes

Directions:  In a bowl, mix the honey, soy sauce, red pepper, and olive oil.  Grill or broil the chicken, basting with the sauce.  Place the rice and water in a saucepan, cover, and bring to a simmer for 20 minutes, or until the water is absorbed and the rice is tender.  Place the tomatoes in a saucepan and heat to simmering.  Serve the chicken over the rice with the tomatoes.

 

Meal 5:  Slow Cooker Pasta Sauce with Rotini  $6.49

  • 2 jars Ragu pasta sauce, any red variety
  • 1 lb ground beef, crumbled
  • 1 t basil (pantry)
  • 2 t oregano (pantry)
  • Salt and pepper (pantry)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced (pantry)
  • ¼ C parmesan cheese (pantry)
  • 1 box Meijer rotini pasta

Directions:  Place the ground beef in a slow cooker.  Top with the sauce and seasonings, including the cheese.  Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Prepare the pasta according to package directions.  Serve with the sauce.

Meal 6:  Seasoned Pork Loin with Salad  $7.49

  • 1 Meijer seasoned pork loin, any variety
  • 1 pkg Earthbound Farms organic salad blend
  • 2 roma tomatoes, diced
  • 1 greenhouse cucumber, diced
  • Salad dressing (pantry)

Directions:  Bake or grill the pork loin until done throughout.  Prepare the salad by placing all ingredients in a bowl.

This week, six meals will cost you only $36.66!
