This is the  week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE 

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based on a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )

 

Meal 1: Slow Cooker Meatball Subs  $5.49

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 egg (pantry)
  • ¼ C bread crumbs (pantry)
  • 1 t oregano (pantry)
  • ½ t basil (pantry)
  • Salt and pepper (pantry)
  • 1 jar Meijer red pasta sauce, any variety
  • ½ pkg Meijer shredded mozzarella
  • 1 French baguette, cut into 4 pieces and sliced open for stuffing

Directions:  In a bowl, mix the ground beef, egg, bread crumbs, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper until well mixed.  Make 12 meatballs and either fry in a saute pan until browned on all sizes or bake in a 400°F oven for 10 minutes.  (They can be refrigerated for later at this point.)  Place in a slow cooker with the pasta sauce; cover and set to low for 4-6 hours.  Place 3 meatballs in the bread along with a bit of sauce.  Top with cheese.

 

Meal 2:  Stuffed Chicken with Rice  $8.98

  • 2 lb chicken breasts (4 breasts)
  • ½ pkg shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 pkg baby bella mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 T butter (pantry)
  • 2 pkgs Rice A Roni, any flavor, plus ingredients per package

Directions:  Saute the mushrooms in the butter until slightly caramelized.  Allow to cool.  In the thick part of the chicken, cut a slit nearly through the piece.  Stuff with 1/4th of the mushrooms and cheese.  Place in a baking dish.  Bake in a 400°F oven for 30-40 minutes, until the chicken is no longer pink in the thickest part.  Prepare the rice as directed on the package.

 

Meal 3:  Sausage Casserole  $6

  • 1 Meijer sausage chub
  • 1 pkg Ore Ida frozen hash browns
  • 6 eggs, whisked (pantry)
  • 1 C milk (pantry)
  • ½ pkg Meijer shredded cheddar

Directions:  Brown the sausage and drain.  Place the hash browns in a 9×13 inch lightly greased baking dish and press into a crust.  Sprinkle with the sausage and cheese.  Whisk the eggs and milk together and gently pour over the top of the sausage.  Bake in a 400°F oven for 25-30 minutes, until the eggs are set.

 

Meal 4:  Easy Beef Roast with Mashed Potatoes  $12.42

  • 2 lb chuck roast
  • 1 pkg (2 envelopes) Meijer dry onion soup
  • 2 cans Campbell cream of mushroom soup
  • 2.5 lbs red potatoes, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • Milk and butter for mashing (pantry)

Directions:  Place the chuck roast in a slow cooker.  Sprinkle both packets of soup over the top and spread the mushroom soup over the top.  Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Place the potatoes in a saucepan and cover with water.  Simmer for 20-30 minutes, until tender, and drain.  Mash with milk and butter, seasoning with salt and pepper if desired.  Use the juices of the meat as gravy.

 

Meal 5:  Turkey Stuffed Peppers with Broccoli  $9.49

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 egg (pantry)
  • 2 C cooked rice (pantry)
  • Salt and pepper (pantry)
  • 1 t oregano (pantry)
  • 4 peppers, any color, tops cut off and seeds removed
  • 2 broccoli crowns

Directions:  In a bowl, mix the turkey, egg, rice, and seasonings.  Stuff the peppers and place standing in a baking dish.  Bake in a 350°F oven for 1 hour.  Steam the broccoli to desired doneness.

 

Meal 6:  Easy Slow Cooker Minestrone  $6.49

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced (pantry)
  • 2 bags Bird’s Eye mixed vegetables
  • 1 can Hunt’s Petite diced tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic (pantry)
  • 1 box Meijer small shell pasta

Directions:  Crumble the ground beef in a slow cooker.  Sprinkle with the onion, veggies, and garlic.  Add enough water to cover the ingredientes.  Cover and set to low for 4-6 hours.  Turn to high, add the pasta, and simmer another 20 minutes, until the pasta is tender.  Serve with crusty bread, if desired.

 

This week, six homemade meals will only cost $48.87!
