For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )

It’s nearly time to start grilling season, but first, one last week of some tasty kitchen treats for your family.

Meal 1: Slow Cooker Szechuan Pork $2.38

  • 2 lb pork butt
  • 2 T chili garlic sauce (pantry)
  • 2 t ginger paste (pantry)
  • 3 T soy sauce (pantry)
  • 3 C sliced mix of carrots, onions, peppers, or celery (pantry)
  • 2 C dry rice (pantry)
  • 4 C water (pantry)

Directions: Place the pork butt in the slow cooker and cover with sauces and ginger paste. Sprinkle the vegetables over the top, cover, and set to low for 6-8 hours. About 30 minutes before serving, remove the pork and shred, discarding any fat. Add the rice to a large saucepan. Add the water, cover, and bring to a simmer for 20 minutes or until the water is absorbed. Serve the pork mixture over the rice with additional soy sauce, if desired.

Meal 2: Slow Cooker Chicken Salad Wraps $5.39

  • 3 lbs chicken thighs
  • 4 FlatOut bread wraps (deli section)
  • Mayonnaise (pantry)
  • ½ C diced celery (pantry)
  • 1 bunch green onions, diced (pantry)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Directions: The day before serving, place the chicken in a slow cooker, season with salt and pepper, cover, and cook for 5-7 hours, until chicken is tender. Remove from the slow cooker, allow to cool, and remove all the meat, cutting into bite sized pieces. Place in a bowl and mix in enough mayo to make a nice salad consistency. Add in the celery, onions, salt and pepper; refrigerate overnight. Place chicken salad in wraps, fold or roll up, and enjoy!

Meal 3: Parmesan Crusted Tilapia with Broccoli and Baked Potatoes $5.35

  • 1 pkg Meijer frozen tilapia, thawed and dried
  • ¾ C parmesan (pantry)
  • 2 t paprika (pantry)
  • 1 t dried parsley (pantry)
  • Salt and pepper (pantry)
  • 1 lb broccoli, chopped
  • 4 Russet potatoes (plus toppings)

Directions: Wash and pierce the potatoes. Bake in a 425°F oven for an hour or until the potatoes are tender when pierced with a fork. In a bowl, place the parmesan, paprika, parsley, salt and pepper; stir. Place the fish on a baking sheet and cover with the mixture. Bake in a 425°F oven for 10-15 minutes, until fish flakes easily with a fork. Steam the broccoli to desired doneness.

Meal 4: Slow Cooker Roast with Vegetables $15.39

  • 1.5 lb chuck roast
  • 1 pkg baby bella mushrooms, brushed clean and ends trimmed
  • 1 large family sized can Campbell’s Cream of Mushroom soup
  • 1 bag Bird’s Eye Steam Fresh veggies, any variety

Directions: Place the roast in a slow cooker, top with mushrooms and soup. Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours. Prepare veggies as directed on package.

Meal 5: Easy Chicken Alfredo $4.99

  • 2 lbs chicken thighs
  • 1 jar Classico Alfredo
  • 1 box Barilla Pasta, any variety

Directions: Place the chicken thighs in a slow cooker and cook 4-6 hours on low. Remove from the slow cooker and pick the meat off the bones, discarding bones and skin. Place the chicken and sauce in a saucepan, heating slowly. Boil the pasta as directed on the package. Serve the sauce over the pasta.

Meal 6: Cowboy Casserole with Vegetables $12.14

  • 1 pkg Meijer frozen hashbrowns
  • 1 ½ lb ground round
  • ½ bottle Sweet Baby Ray’s bbq sauce
  • 1 bag Meijer shredded cheddar
  • 1 bag Bird’s Eye Steam Fresh vegetables

Directions: Place the hashbrowns in a greased 13×9 pan; bake in a 400°F oven for 15 minutes. While the hashbrowns are baking, brown and drain the meat. Add in the bbq sauce and bring to a simmer. Spread over the hashbrowns, top with cheddar, and return to the oven for another 20 minutes. Prepare the vegetables as directed on the package.

This week, 6 delicious meals will only cost $45.64!
