This is the  week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE 

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you less than $50, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale date ending 3/12)

Spring is starting to show her face and Meijer sales are going to allow you to enjoy better weather and less time in the kitchen.  Check out these 6 meals that will take advantage of great Meijer prices!

Meal 1: Slow Cooker Goulash  $6.82

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced (pantry)
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced (pantry)
  • 1 box Meijer green box Radiatore pasta
  • 2 jars Meijer pasta sauce, any variety

Directions:  Brown the ground beef with onion and garlic; drain.  Layer the sauce, dry pasta, and beef mixture.  Top with 1 pasta jar of water.  Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Serve hot with parmesan if desired.

Meal 2:  Roasted Salmon with Salad  $7.91

  • 1 lb frozen Meijer salmon fillets
  • 1 bag Dole Classic Iceberg salad blend
  • ½ pint grape tomatoes, halved
  • 1 cucumber, sliced
  • dressing of choice (pantry)

Directions:  Place the salmon on a baking sheet.  Sprinkle with salt and pepper.  Bake in a 425°F oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily.  Make the salad by placing everything in a large bowl.  When serving, top individual bowls with a portion of salmon.  Drizzle with dressing.

Meal 3:  Popcorn Shrimp, Baked Potatoes, and Roasted Broccoli  $6.52

  • 1 box SeaPak popcorn shrimp
  • 4 Russet potatoes, scrubbed and pierced
  • potato toppings (pantry)
  • 2 heads organic broccoli, cut into florets

Directions:  Bake the potatoes in a 400°F oven until they are tender when pierced with a fork.  Prepare the shrimp per package directions.  Roast the broccoli by placing on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.  Place in 400°F and roast until edges turn brown and broccoli is tender-crisp.

Meal 4:  Roast Chicken with Rice and Vegetables  $7.65

  • 4 lbs whole chicken, rinsed
  • 1 pkg Uncle Ben’s Wild Rice + ingredients per directions
  • 1 bag Meijer steamable vegetables

Directions:  Place the rinsed chicken in a roasting pan.  Sprinkle liberally with salt and pepper.  Cover tightly and bake in a 375°F oven for 1 ½ hours, until juices run clear when pierced near the thigh.  Remove cover and crisp skin for 10 minutes.  Near the end of the cooking cycle for the chicken, prepare the rice and vegetables per the package directions.

 

Meal 5:  Slow Cooker RIbs, Mashed Potatoes, and Baked Beans  $7.33

  • 2 lbs Country Style Ribs
  • 1 bottle Open Pit barbecue sauce
  • 2.5 lbs potatoes, peeled and diced
  • milk and butter, as needed for desired consistency
  • 1 can Bush’s Baked Beans, any variety

Directions:  Place the ribs in a slow cooker and top with barbecue sauce.  Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.  Place the potatoes in a pot and cover with water.  Bring to a simmer for 20 minutes or until potatoes are tender.  Mash to desired consistency with butter and milk.  Heat the beans in a sauce pan.

Meal 6:  Slow Cooker Sausage and Hashbrown Casserole  $7.97

  • 1 pkg Eckrich smoked sausage, diced
  • 1 pkg Simply Potatoes shredded hash browns
  • 1 pkg Kraft shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cans Campbell’s Cream of Chicken and Mushroom soup

Directions:  Place all ingredients in a slow cooker and mix well.  Cover and set to low for 6-8 hours.

This week, 6 delicious, easy meals will cost you only $44.20!  What a fantastic way to save money and have delicious meals to gather your family with!
