This is the  week of bringing you these awesome budget friendly meal planning for all of you Meijer Shoppers. You can find more Meijer Meal Planning ideas HERE 

For this week, using the Favado App and our Meijer Matchups posted here on A Mitten Full Of Savings, I’ve been able to come up with a whole week’s worth of dinners that will cost you around $40 bucks, along with a few things from your pantry!   You can also print out my FREE Meal Planning printables that will help you plan and organize your meals each week! (this is always super helpful for me!!)

  • This is based off of a family of 4-5- so you will need to adjust it accordingly for a bigger or smaller family.
  • All items are on sale or part of the lower Meijer price. If you don’t have the pantry items, then you will need to add those into your final price. (sale dates )

 

 

It’s the week before Easter, and there are quite a few great sales going on at Meijer this week.  So let’s get some great meals going and enjoy the savings!

Meal 1: Turkey Sliders with Sweet Potato Fries and Tomato Salad $11.99

1 20 oz pkg Jennie-O ground turkey

1 pkg King’s Hawaiian Rolls

2 cloves garlic, grated (pantry)

1 small onion, grated (pantry)

1 pkg Alexia Sweet Potato Fries

1 pkg One Sweet Tomato

1 small sweet onion, diced (pantry)

2 T olive oil (pantry)

1 T red wine or cider vinegar (pantry)

salt and pepper (pantry)

 

Directions:  Mix the ground turkey, garlic and onion.  Let sit for 5 minutes.  Cover a baking sheet with a silicone nonstick sheet or parchment.  Press the meat onto the tray in a thin layer.  Bake in a 400°F oven until no pink remains.  Cut into squares the size of the rolls and assemble with desired toppings.  Bake the fries according to the package directions.  Cut the tomatoes in half.  Place in a bowl with the sweet onion, oil, and vinegar.  Season as desired with salt and pepper.

 

Meal 2: Tortellini with Red Sauce  $4.50

1 bag Meijer frozen tortellini, any variety

1 jar Ragu pasta sauce, any variety

 

Directions:  Bring a large pot of water to a boil.  Boil the tortellini until they float.  Serve with pasta sauce heated to a simmer.

 

Meal 3: Pork Chops with Sweet Potatoes and Peas  $4.84

1.5 lbs pork loin, cut into 4 pork chops

2 lbs sweet potatoes, cut into 1 inch cubes

1 stick butter

salt

1 pkg Bird’s Eye peas

 

Directions: Place the cut potatoes in a saute pan with the butter.  Heat over medium heat until butter melts.  Stir well and cover.  Saute until the potatoes are tender, about 35-40 minutes.  Place the pork chops on a broiler pan.  Sprinkle with salt and any other desired seasonings.  Bake in a 400°F oven until no pink remains, approximately 10-15 minutes.  Prepare the peas according to the package directions.

 

Meal 4: Baked Ham, Green Beans, and Baked Potatoes  $10.22

1 6 lb Cook’s Spiral Sliced Ham

4 Russet Potatoes, scrubbed and pierced

1.5 lbs fresh green beans

 

Directions:  Place ham in a roasting pan and cover tightly with foil.  Bake in a 350°F oven for 2 hours, until ham is hot all the way through.  About 1 hour into the baking, place the potatoes in the oven.  Bake until tender when pierced with a fork.  Clean the green beans by snapping off the ends.  Steam in a shallow pan or in the microwave until crisp-tender.

 

Meal 5: Scalloped Potatoes and Ham  $2.50

2 cups cubed leftover ham

2 boxes Betty Crocker Scalloped Potatoes (or Au Gratin)

Ingredients per box instructions

 

Directions:  Make potatoes per package instructions, adding cubed ham before baking.

 

Meal 6:  Fish n Chips $6

1 bag Gorton’s Fish Tenders

1 bag Ore Ida steak fries

1 T olive oil (pantry)

¼ C mayonnaise (pantry)

3 T relish (pantry)

 

Directions: Prepare the fish and fries according to the package directions, tossing the fries in the olive oil before baking.  Mix the mayo and relish.  Serve hot.

There you go!  Six fabulous meals, that feed your family right, all for about $40 and you didn’t have to use one single coupon. Now, if you have coupons that will match, then you can easily save MORE money!
