Meijer: Kraft Cheese $1.11-$1.99 {and stockup price for cheese}

This week at Meijer, Cheese is on sale for $1.99 each when you buy 8 of the participating items (as part of the buy 8, save $8 instant promotion. You can see ALL the deals for this promotion HERE)
I’m running low on cheese and I’ve been waiting for a reallllly good cheese deal. I don’t consider this a realllly good cheese deal, but it’s close enough (for now).
A realllly good cheese deal is when you can score cheese for under $1.00. The last time I did a major stock I was getting cheese for FREE – .50 cents! Now, THAT is good!
So here’s the deal I’m doing this week (and these coupons expire on the 10th, so you don’t have a lot of time to use them!)
Kraft Shreds, Chunks or cheese Crumbles, 5-8 oz- $2.99
- Buy 8 mix or match, Save $1 off each instantly
- $1.00/2 Kraft Natural Cheese – 5-10-15 RP; Includes Shreds or Blocks Only (exp 06/10/15)
Final cost= $1.49 each wyb 2 (*plus 6 other participating item!) Great deal
If you have the personalized cheese reward and you have a stack of these coupons you could do this:
In order to get to the $40 threshold you would need to buy about 16 of these at $2.99
= $47.84
You will get a $1 off instantly for buying 8 (and since you’re buying 16, you would $1 off each one)
So that brings your total down to
$31.84
Then you add the $1/2 coupons. You need 8
that takes off another $8 bucks
You pay $23.84, then get a $6 reward back
Final cost= $17.84 (that brings each bag down to $1.11)
Which is GREAT! IF you have this reward.
If not, you’re paying $1.49, which is still good or $1.99 (no coupons)
Paying a sale price is better than paying full price. So even at $1.99 that’s still decent. I wouldn’t go stock crazy.
For the $1.49, I will get at least 8 bags since we go through a lot of cheese around here!
I consider a stockup price (where I’m buying 40 bags) is anything UNDER a $1.00. It happens and you have to be ready to strike at the right time.
