American 1 Teen Idol hits the Jackson Co. Fairgrounds July 11th {Jackson/FREE}

Time: 6pm- midnight
Jackson, MI – 10 talented teens from Michigan will take the stage Friday, July 11th to compete
for the title of American 1 Teen Idol. The singing competition takes place at the Jackson County
Fairgrounds and begins at 6pm. The event is free and the public is encouraged to cheer on
their favorites. –

Lansing Mall is GOING HOLLYWOOD on July 12th in celebration of the Regal Stadium 12 & RPX Grand Opening.

Kid’s Mud Run { Cost}

Date: 7/12/2014

Time: (call for time- 323-8555)

Ages 5- 15

Location: Grand Woods Park, 4500 West Willow Highway

Cost: $10 for Delta Residents/$12 for non-residents. Price goes up to $15 if you register the day of run.

Meet The Princesses with “Once Upon a Princess” July 12th {Jackson}

Time: 11 am- 2pm
Cost: $25 per child
Your child can meet the following princesses at our beautiful theater; Cinderella, Belle, Rapunzel, Little Mermaid, and Snow Queen. The cost of the ticket includes a meet and greet of the princesses, autographs, and a twenty five minute performance.

The ticket also includes a “kids’ combo” which includes a small popcorn and small drink.

Pizza and other concessions will be available.

Tuesday Under The Trees {Jackson/FREE}

Beginning July 15th, at 1:00 PM and every Tuesday until late-August, the popular free summer, “Read to Me” story time “Tuesdays Under the Tree” will return for a 3rd year to Calvary United Methodist Church. The “Read to Me” program will be outside, under a tree, on the Backus Street yard. Some classic stories, some new favorites read by Pastor Edrye Maurer. A wide assortment of books will be read this summer! Children may also bring their own books to be read. Each session will last for approximately 1 hour.

Hot Air Jubilee {Jackson}/FREE

One of my favorite local attractions!

July 18- July 20

Free family fun event
Hot Air Balloons fill the sky during both a morning and evening launch. They also light up the night sky for a night glow. The main focus of the Jubilee is of course the Hot Air Balloons, however that’s not all there is to enjoy. When you and your family come to Ella Sharp Park during the event you will be greeted by some longtime Jubilee favorites such as a craft booth marketplace, the Kids Kingdom, food vendors and an auto show.

Michigan Shakespeare Festival {Jackson}

Date: July 17- August 17th

The 20th anniversary season will run July 17- August 17, 2014 and features Hamlet, Cymbeline and Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Ernest. For more information about the coming season visit MichiganShakespeareFestival.com
