Counting Sheep Helps You Sleep- Why Sleep is Important

counting sheep can help you sleep

Busy moms have trouble sleeping. It is just the way it is. By the end of the day, there are so many things on a mom’s mind that it can get the better of her. There are bills to pay, kids to tuck in, chores and cleaning to do, work to be done, and even once you are in bed, it can be hard to turn off your brain to relax, and even harder to fall asleep. As a Mom that works from home, I tend to work late into the night after the kids are in bed. I have a hard time trying to unwind and relax when I do hit the sack.

That is, until they find out about Counting Sheep coffee. Counting Sheep coffee is a Swiss Water® decaffeinated coffee that is blended with organic valerian root, which is an herbal sedative. The result is a great tasting coffee that will help you unwind and relax at the end of the day. This company was founded in 2013 and rapidly growing and spreading all over the Country.

In fact, we love coffee so much we’ve designed a coffee with a natural sedative to end your day as well. In a world that doesn’t get enough sleep, it’s important to slow down and relax before bedtime. And we can’t think of a better way to do that than with a cup of Counting Sheep.

Many people find drinking a cup of coffee to be relaxing, but then they have a backlash from the caffeine and have trouble sleeping.

With that being said, we all know the importance of getting enough sleep. When you don’t get enough sleep you cannot perform to the best of your ability. You are not as alert as you should be. Just losing an hour and a half of sleep a night can reduce your daytime alertness by 32%. It can affect your memory and your ability to think through a problem. People who are sleep deprived are more likely to get injured at work and are more likely to be a car crash.

Unfortunately I have the newest Keurig 2.0 and the K-Cups that I received in my sample pack for this review would not work. I had to hack my Counting Sheep coffee to brew it another one. With that being said, it’s possible that I may not have fully enhanced the flavoring and the effects of the Counting Sheep Coffee. However, I sampled the Lights Out. I am a girl that adds cream to all of my coffee, so the taste was rather on the sweet side. But it works. My only tip is- keep this coffee/kcups in a different place than your regular coffee/kcups. You do not want to drink this first thing in the morning if you have intentions to stay up!

There are two versions available, Bedtime Blend/40 Winks and a stronger version Lights Out!, which has more valerian root and a bolder taste. You can find Counting Sheep coffee online at Amazon, and at local retailers like Bed Bath and Beyond stores across North America and other leading retailers such as Kings and Balducci’s.

Be sure to take a moment to check out other varieties on their website!
